The England-West Indies, 3rd Test at Edgbaston in Birmingham is yet to start as the Second Day’s play was also washed out because of persistent rain. Not a single ball was bowled and the toss is yet to happen and the Test Match is now left with just three days. Most likely the match is expected to be a draw which could deny England the chances of a 3-0 cleansweep.
The second day’s play was called off by the Umpires during the scheduled post-lunch session itself. The match though could get underway tomorrow on Day 3 perhaps not at the scheduled start but after a delay because of the wet conditions. There could be just a bit of cricketing action in this final Test before bad weather could hit Edgbaston as predicted during the weekend.
