Kings XI Punjab collected their second win in a row beating the formidable Rajasthan Royals by 7 wickets at Sharjah in a high-scoring contest. The target of 192 was still achievable for the Kings XI Punjab thanks to the ballistic half centuries from Glenn Maxwell and David Miller.

The target was chased down with 8 balls to spare by Kings XI. In their first outing in IPL 7, Kings XI Punjab had chased down a 200+ target against the Chennai Super Kings. It was a repeat of that performance from the Kings XI especially Glenn Maxwell and David Miller who were the main heroes once again.

Maxwell smashed 89 from 45 balls with 8 fours and 6 sixes while it was David Miller who once again took the Kings XI Punjab past the finishing line. Miller plundered 51 not out in 19 balls with 6 fours. Batting for the entire 20 overs at one end was Cheteshwar Pujara who was lucky that his slow 40 not out in 38 balls with three fours didn’t spoil the show for Kings XI.

Earlier, the Rajasthan Royals scored a high total of 191 for 5. Sanju Samson played some breathtaking shots in his 52 from 34 balls which had 3 fours and 4 sixes. Skipper Shane Watson muscled 50 from 29 balls with 5 fours and 3 sixes.

Toss and Teams: Kings XI Punjab have won the toss and asked Rajasthan Royals to bat first in Match 7 at Sharjah. KXIP have made a change with Murali Kartik replacing Rishi Dhawan. Rajasthan Royals have made one change as well with Steven Smith replacing Brad Hodge.
