The second and final T20I between England and New Zealand at The Oval on Thursday was disrupted due to rain. Just the two balls were possible in which England had lost the wicket of Michael Lumb to Mitchell McClenaghan.
Rain arrived after two balls of the English innings and ceased after sometime. Play was all set to resume but only to be abandoned because of a second rain spell. England went into this game with James Tredwell as their new Skipper while Kevin Pietersen coming back from an injury was left in the dug out without any batting practice in the middle.
New Zealand take the 2-match T20I Series 1-0 following their 5-run win in the first game at this same venue.
