India A are on the backfoot at 22 for 3 by stumps on Day 3 in their second innings of the 1st Unofficial Test against West Indies A. The visitors would fancy their chances of a victory despite that as their target is only 186 runs.

India A are on the backfoot at 22 for 3 by stumps on Day 3 in their second innings of the 1st Unofficial Test against West Indies A. The visitors would fancy their chances of a victory despite that as their target is only 186 runs. India A has got Skipper Pujara, Rohit Sharma, Manoj Tiwary and Wriddhiman Saha to depend on to chase those runs.

Earlier, India A bowlers once again did well as West Indies A side got bowled out for just 210 in 78.3 overs. Swing bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar did the damage taking three wickets while part time off-spinner Rohit Sharma polished the lower order taking four wickets. Shami Ahmed also impressed taking a couple of wickets.

Lendl Simmons was the top scorer with 53For the West Indies A, openers Lendl Simmons with 53 (from 77 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes) and Kraigg Brathwaite with 50 (from 166 balls with 4 fours) scored half centuries.

In the run chase, India A closed Day 3 at a disappointing 22 for 3 in 10 overs. Opener Shikhar Dhawan managed to survive a torrid session with an unbeaten 13. Giving him company is Skipper Pujara, who is on nought. The batsmen dismissed are Abhinav Mukund for a first ball duck, Ajinkya Rahane and night watchman Rahul Sharma. Jason Holder took two of the three wickets to fall.
