Sri Lanka has made two changes to their Champions Trophy squad for the upcoming Tri-Series in West Indies. Tillakaratne Dilshan is out of the tournament because of the calf muscle injury he sustained during the Semi-Final against India. Dilshan’s place has been taken by left-hander Upul Tharanga. While that was a forced change for the Selectors to make, the big surprise is the omission of match-winning all-rounder Thisara Perera.

The Selectors have given yet another recall for the once-upon-a-time mystery spinner Ajantha Mendis who takes the place of Thisara Perera. Surprisingly, the Selectors have retained the lesser talented Dilhara Lokuhettige while axing Perera. Sri Lanka opens the Tri-Series on the 28th against hosts West Indies at Kingston in Jamaica.
