Sunrisers Hyderabad and Titans clash against each other in an important game this evening at 4:00 PM at Ranchi. Both the teams are searching for their second victory in three matches to consolidate their chances of making it to the Semis from Group B. So far in this group, Chennai Super Kings are looking really good to secure a spot in the Semis with two wins in two games.

The Sunrisers, Titans and Trinidad & Tobago are all in a similar position so far with one win and one loss so far. Brisbane Heat, the fourth team in this group doesn’t look promising to make it to the Semis having lost two games in a row. So if one Semi spot is taken by CSK, then the other spot is likely to be a tussle between the Sunrisers, Titans and T&T.

Titans have a 2-3 big individual players who can make the difference to beat Sunrisers. AB de Villiers in the batting line-up will be feared by the bowlers and getting his wicket early will be a big relief for the Sunrisers. On the bowling front, Morne Morkel and Marchant de Lange have the potential of running through a batting line-up with their pace and bounce.

Sunrisers are doing pretty well having taken the long route of qualifying to this tournament. Their Captain Shikhar Dhawan is in rich form and Parthiv Patel has raised his game to complement him at the top of the order. All-rounders Sammy and Perera can be counted to perform in their dual role and JP Duminy has it in him to provide the stability. So far, the one complaint on Shikhar Dhawan as a Captain is that he has under-utilized his leg spinners, in particular Karan Sharma, who was in the team for the last game but didn’t get to bowl a single over. Sunrisers are the favourites to win with the kind of batting and bowling stars that they have. It will only be an upset if they go onto lose against the Titans.
