South Africa defeated West Indies for the fourth consecutive time after a 17-run win in the second ODI at North Sound. Batting first, South Africa posted a neat 300 for 5 courtesy of Hashim Amla (92 from 95 balls) and Jacques Kallis (85 from 89 balls). Windies this time around were competitive in their chase with Dwayne Bravo scoring a fighting 74 from 70 balls and Darren Sammy coming up with a counter attacking knock of 58 not out from just 24 balls which included half a dozen sixes. Opener Dale Richards also scored a half century, though it was a slow 51 from 85 balls. West Indies were bowled out for 283 to fall short of the target by 17 runs.
