South Australia pulled off a 11-run victory over Lions at the SuperSport Park in Centurion. Banking on their Skipper Michael Klinger's 78 (from 48 balls with 6 fours and 5 sixes), South Australia put up a total of 178 for 6 after losing the toss. Klinger gave the innings a shape along with Callum Fergusson who made a sparkling 47 from 27 balls.

Lions in reply lost wickets upfront but their Skipper Alviro Petersen kept them in the hunt until he got out for 56 (in 35 balls with 7 fours and a six) in the 13th over. After his fall, there were too many wickets going down and the Lions finished second at 167 for 8.
