Prasanna has been brought into the side after his impressive performance for Sri Lanka "A'' in England, where he took 6-23 against England Lions last week. He has 73 wickets in 48 first-class one-day games.

His inclusion came as and as the host nation tries to turn the course of the five-match series, which it trails 2-1.

Left-arm spinner Rangana Herath, allrounder Thisara Perera and batsman Dinesh Chandimal were dropped as the initial 16-man squad was pared down to 14.

The fourth match of the series will be played in Colombo on Saturday.
